Here is a nice unsharpened Case camper style knife with the nice shackle.
I picked it up at a flea market recently.
Delrin covers and some handsome liners.

Nice find Joe. Believe it or not in some patterns Delrin is harder to find than bone.

Thanks Ken.
Interesting, I didn't know about the Delrin being harder to find.
I forgot to show the Case number: it is 640045 R

I believe the ones with the extra zero were made by Camillus.

Not all are - depends on the pattern, and to some extent the year. Seems some years they alternated using bone and Delrin randomly. Not sure why but maybe had something to do with availability of bone.

I agree with David, I think the 640045 was a contract knife. It was probably Delrin only.

Re: Case Camper Style Six Dot
In the Tested era, the 640045R was made in house at Case with green bone handles.
After WWII, the Case 640045R's were all made by other companies on contract, and all of these contract knives had either early plastic jigged black handles or (later) Delrin handles.
The posted knife was made by Camillus, as were all examples of Case's 640045 made after about 1965. Prior to that, in the XX era, some were also made by Ulster and by Utica.
The only time in the "modern" era that the 640045R was made with bone handles was for the 1989 Centennial set, when they were made by Camillus but with Case red bone handles.

Thank you, David and Ken and Steve.
I appreciate the response and the information.
Camillus did a good job building this knife. As usual.
It's so well put together.
