Won’t have her until June 21st, but Sarah and I are getting this little White West Highland Terrier.

Pretty sure her name will be Maggie.

Strictly as an observer, I suggest West Highlands are too sweet and cute for diabetics. A great choice otherwise. Congratulations on the new family member heading your way.

We are not diabetic, so we’re good to go.

We’ve had a West Highland mix named Cassi and a registered one named Bonni.

This will likely be our last dog.

We have a nine tear old Lhasa mix named Molly that was a rescue from a kill shelter. She became blind after we adopted her.

Nice looking dog Alien. Look like a sweet dog.

Is that a German Short-haired TDOG? Little Man looks like a nice dog as well.

Hey Charlie,
Never heard of that breed. Had to look it up. Cute pup. Congratulations and may she live a long full life with you and Sarah.

Good looking and content cat Dan.

I have 2 outdoor cats. I am fond of their independence. They hang out around the house, go about their journeys. Come back and raise holy heck if love and food/ water is not immediately available.

What's not to love?

Wow Mike is growing like a weed.

Elsa the white sheepdog exerting her dominant role over Bear. First in , first out usually.
She was here first. Important to establish the role. She did not disappoint.

Proud of both of those dogs. One for taking the lead. The other boy for understanding the pecking order but loved equally.

Rueger is growing like a weed.
Jerry, Bear and Elsa look like they have really adjusted to each other.

Here is picture of Moki on his walk with the pack. He loves to carry sticks and if another dog has anything, that’s the thing he must have. Dogs play a lot of keep away. It’s funny to watch this with Bristol, they deliberately put an object in the others face to start a game of tug of war or keep away. I love watching dogs play, it gives me an indescribable joy. And, Moki is now 23 pounds, he was just 9lbs when we got him Easter weekend. He too is growing like a weed.

Moki is getting big Mark. Beautiful dog
.Thanks Garry!
Elsa and Buddy (passed in November) used to do that. Ended twice in a Doggy Death Match. Elsa teased him with a tennis ball and he had enough.
Grab both by the scruff and told them to work it out. They were like WTH as I never lay hands or raise my voice to my dogs.
Quick puppy paw pinky swear not to do that again between the two knuckleheads. They were more taken by my calm but stern reaction than the fight.

Grateful Bear accepted pecking order and Elsa showed no fear. She was laying down, confident as heck next to a newcomer that could easily overpower her. He has 30#s on her. He could snap her neck or mine for that matter. Like a tank.

Great looking dog Mark. Seems like a playful, sweet soul!

We are dog lovers here but cats keep showing up. I think we’re up to 6 of them last time I counted - they come and go so never can be sure. If/when we catch them they get shots and neutered. We have a yellow tomcat that I haven’t been able to catch or trap yet and he’s been around here for about a year. There’s one other neutered male, the rest are neutered females. They kill (and eat) mice, rats, and snakes so we’re not too keen to get rid of them. The grandkids have named them all.

Here’s Sophie taking her leisure on the porch railing. When I tried to get closer she jumped down and ran off! ::shrug::

Well, yes! :D thank you... That is Zeus, my German Short-haired Pointer. ::hmm:: ...A huge pain in the ... ::paranoid:: ...well... let me re-phrase that... ::paranoid:: he is a pretty good puppy-dog... ::paranoid:: some of the time...

Well Dan, Harald the kitten, looks to be a pretty fine cat... if not a bit on the lazy side... ::paranoid:: ... I had a Tabby when I was kid (not that long ago) named "Tiger" and that cat would fetch and return little rolled up balls of tin foil ... just like a dog does ... I would throw the ball of foil and Tiger would go get and bring back... now, I never saw another Tabby nor any other cat do that ...ever ::skeptic:: ...so I have a soft spot for Tabbys in my somewhat hardened hart... ::hmm::

Some great photos, y'all! ::tu:: As for Harald, he doesn't spend much time at rest. It was an uphill battle trying to get him to sit still for this photo, especially since he thought the SAK was some sort of newfangled cat toy.

Back on April 28th I showed the photo of a friend's guard dogs which I identified as Great Pyrenees. That was incorrect. They are Anatolian Shepherd dogs.
