donatted Moli to benefit

Post by robpa »

A friend of gr daughter was in serious work accident back in january. This past saturday there was a benefit for him with foods and drawings, etc, i donated a Moki bird knife w. G10 handles which realized $200, Flex tool donated one of their fixed blades which aklso brought in $200. They raised hust over $18,000 in 4 hors for the kid. I bought $20 in tickets trying to win back my knife! didnt get it or the Flex Tool or either of the Ruger American rifles, or the Spiced rum, nor the jack daniels. but the spaghetti dinner was pretty good! Lot of guys liked the little Moki.

Great news and good on you for donating.

I donated a GEC #73 to a fundraiser that I didn't attend. I found out a few days later that they ended up putting it in a basket with several other items and auctioned off the whole basket as one item. The winning bidder got the whole basket for $65. The GEC alone was worth twice that much but that's the chance you take in an auction and at least the recipient got $65 that he didn't have before that.

I am ready to shoot this damned computer. It changes my spelling and even my wording. Just paid 100 bucks to get the thing cleaned out!! Im fed up!!

They had a good system at this benefit. Used tear off tickets so each item had a set # of tickets to be sold. The lesser items were just chinese auction style . The poor kid, he was in tears when my son delivered the bag of green stuff. He couldnt believe so many people cared.
