If I remember correctly, Sharp was a K Mart brand, not Walmart.

I had a Sharp folder I bought at Kmart long before Walmart was even thought of.

Re: Sharp tm knives
Most of the Sharp brand knives were made in Japan (though I have seen exceptions), and all that I have seen were well made knives, and sold new at reasonable prices. I have a casual collection of them, and really like both their fixed blades and folders.
My first several were given to me by my Dad as well, which makes them all the more special!

Re: Sharp tm knives
My meager Sharp collection. My Dad gave me the model 200 and 300 when I was a teen. I have collected the others out of sentimental reasons.
Left Column slipjoints:
260 pen with replacement shield
Two 270 pens with replacement shields
Two 380 stockman
325 stockman.
Center column lockbacks:
100
150
200
Two model 300's, one with homemade sheath.
Right column Campers:
Czechoslavakia-made (probably by Mikhov)
Japan made.
I also have a fixed blade by Sharp Japan, but it is missing a pomel. I am working on making a replacement.
