::tu:: ::tu:: I’m glad you like the knife Philip. When you see something like that there’s no doubt who needs to own it!

Glad you did that research and found the knife’s origins. And I wouldn’t have thought of that being an ear wax spoon. I was guessing some kind of a cuticle pusher. ::hmm:: ::shrug::

Glad it found a home with you!

I got bombed by Tom (Bestgear) again. He surgically hit the target with this one. A 2019 Spitfire 722 with brown aluminum scales. To me, they actually look bronze. It's a discontinued color, so that makes this one even more special. Thank you Tom...this one will be cherished and carried. And the bromance continues... ::handshake:: ::tu:: ::groove::

That's a beauty, LJ, I love the copper color!
Good on you, Tom, for your generosity!
It's also most innovative of you with your picture backgrounds, this one today actually appears to be "bombing" the knife to you, very thoughtful touch, indeed!

I missed your posting of this stunning knife, ~Q~, first time round, but I saw it today and I gotta know you love this little baby!
It is a most generous gesture from Iman with plenty of thought put into it, good on him.
Even my critical eye can't spot one flaw in your "bomb", and comin' from me that's sayin' somethin'.

Thank you Mark & Floyd. Very perceptive of you Mark...

I was wondering if someone would correlate the plane with the 'dropping' of the knife. BTW...the airplane photo is a WWII era plane called the "Spitfire".

Very cool, Ken, it was definitely the "Spitfire" that I first noticed as I was browsing on by, and then to see the knife "dropping" from it just made it perfect! ::tu::
I wish myself and others could be as creative with our posts, ::pray:: it makes things so much more interesting, ::groove:: but I for one can barely draw a straight line, and my emojis are limited to the one's available to all of us on the right. ::facepalm::
Oh well, at least we have yours to enjoy! ::handshake::

Don't have a clue who sent this (but I do have a suspicion and I don't think it was someone on AAPK). The return address was Latham's Sales in Crockett Mills TN and he sells automatics almost exclusively. ::shrug:: Vely intelesting, to quote Arte Johnson as Wolfgang on "Laugh In".

Jerry!
I have no idea why or what that "key" is for, but Mike Latham is well known for his auto knives and has a huge selection of obsolete and very hard to find models.
If you recall, I posted an 11" oal NON-folding stiletto in one of my posts, and I bought that knife from Mike when it was in his store in Crockett Mills. I thought he had an AAPK store too, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it, so I don't know if I'm right or imagining things, although, I'd put my money on a "seniors moment" and go with imagining things.
We actually had a disagreement over my purchase, but Mike being the cool guy he is made things right.
If you ever find out why he sent it to you, as well as what it's for, please let us know!

Having a morning coffee and admiring this beautiful "bomb" ... ::hmm:: ... it makes me say to myself... ::hmm:: ...

"You were the guy that changed my world
You sent the knife to me
You lit the fuse, I stand accused
You were the first to bomb me,
With a sweet G.E.C.

But you sent it out, buddy
You dropped a bomb on me, buddy
You dropped a bomb on me
But you mailed it off, buddy
You dropped a bomb on me, buddy
You dropped a bomb on me"

Thanks for the kind words and don't feel bad, when one participates in this forum the way some of us do, it's very easy to get confused, overlook posts, and not be at our best all the time.
Considering the number of times something like this occurs, I'd say we're doing pretty good!
No harm no foul!

Yesterday I was bombed in a manner that has still left me stunned. It was a Texas kind of bomb. I received a package from Floyd, aka Doglegg. Within was this magnificent ivory-handled Bulldog Sowbelly. As some of you know, Bulldog is my favorite and most collected brand.

This particular knife will be my Sunday knife today and for many Sundays to come. It is a real gem. While I have thanked Floyd privately, I want to again do so here. Many thanks for a spectacular bomb.
