Yousaf Rogers & Sons

Post by CarMan »

I recently got this knife but can’t find any information on it. It is marked Yousaf Rogers & Sons on the blade with 2 symbols (same symbols are also on back of blade but on the tang). The tang says something over England Steel. I’d like to know how to figure out it’s age & if it’s the same as a Joseph Rogers and Sons. Thank you I appreciate any help possible.

Strange one. Never knew Rodgers used that form of Joseph. ::shrug:: ::shrug:: Looks suspicious to me. Good luck. I hope it's real but.... J.O'.

Counterfeit Joseph Rodgers knife made in India, most likely post WW2. Usually say No 6 Sheffield Steel, an allusion to the real Joseph Rodgers No 6 Norfolk Street, this one's No 6 England Steel is another version.

To be honest I don’t know anything about the real Joseph Rogers & sons knives. I figured for $20 it looked old and unusual.

That's my thinking too, C-man!
I see it, I like it, it's old and/or unusual, the price is right, I buy it, I'm happy!
Very nice knife you have there, enjoy it.

Yousaf was Joseph's Pakistani brother. 🤭
