Crandall cut co

Post by henry1 »

Has Case ever made tributes to Crandall cut co.? I have medium stockman with a Crandall tang stamp, and bowtie badge. It looks like a fairly recent Case knife.

I think at some point, 1990's or early 2000's, they did Commemorative tang stamps for a lot of the old Family Brands knives. I have a few at home, don't remember the exact year though. C. Patts, W.R. Case, Standard and Crandall stick out in my memory.

Someone told me that the tang stamp had 3 x`s and a long flowing C which meant 2007. Anybody hear that? Thanks Henry

Case made knives stamped Crandall as part of their Family Brands promotion in the early-to-mid-2000s. The standard Case date code system was used for the knives. You can do a keyword search here for Crandall and find information including pictures. (Search is found under Quicklinks on the upper left of this page. Just click on Quicklinks, scroll down to Search, click on it and follow the prompts). ::tu::
