Oregon Knife Collectors Association 46th Annual Show

Post by orvet »

After a 3 year hiatus for covid, (the last show was in April 2019), the Oregon Knife Collectors Association (OKCA) will be having our 46th annual Knife Show April 15th & 16th, 2023. ::ds::

I know a lot of our members are planning on being there, many of us have had tables there for years. If the Good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise, I will be at my normal table, 0-10. I have a lot of knives I need to rehome, so I am planning on having a lot of knives on sale.
I hope to see y'all there!

Hope you sell out Orvet. That one is on my bucket list. 2500 miles away for me so I don't know when I will ever make it.

Sadly, I am not going to make it this year. My wife has a cousin getting married in Wales in April and she wants to go. I hope you have a great show Dale!

Dale I will be there with my wife this time. Haven’t been since 2018. Several of our friends including Dan above will be missed! Mike Losicco can’t make it and Dave Gentry isn’t sure yet. Keith Espenson will be there this year with a table next to Jim Pitblado. Dale hope to see you and Alyson if she is up to it? Not far off now : :-D

Best Knife Show there is. The entire outer perimeter and the stage is reserved for display only. It is fantastic. Some of the best collections are shown there.

I missed this Lloyd sorry, I didn't see it until today. I'm looking forward to seeing you and sorry Dan won't be there. I hope Dave can make it. Mike will definitely be missed. You will have to introduce me to Keith, I don't think I've met him before but in the craziness of the show it is possible if he's been there before. I'm hoping Charlie is there this year, but I haven't heard from him yet.

Alyson won't be there this year. I have a friend to help me on Saturday but I'll be flying solo Friday and Sunday. Alyson isn't strong enough yet to go down there for a whole day. She happens to be back in upstate New York this week visiting her granddaughter and great-grandkids. Her daughter was able to go with her and will her between connecting flights because she's not strong enough yet to walk very far at all. She is getting better though, praise the Lord!

I'm looking forward to seeing everybody and hopefully it will be a good show. The weather is supposed to be better than it has been, not much rain forecasted for Friday and Saturday. Hopefully it'll be a good show because it's the first one in four years!

Well, I better get back in the shop and finish up a few projects I have going so they're ready for the show.

See you in Eugene!
