Awesome looking knives. Terrific price ! I never find deals like that. Is there a particular website that hosts these auctions ? I haven’t been buying knives lately due to the economy but I couldn’t pass up a deal that good !!Theo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:16 pm I was bidding online for an Estate Sale, a lot of different items, older Railroad lanterns, shaving lots, etc, I had forgotten about it. Glad you're happy with them, jerryd. Now you have two new 07s to play with each week for an entire month!
BTW--Fun Fact: those four 2004 6207s with the diamond shields (not the white one) are from a limited series Case did only that one year with that specific type of semi-translucent-ish bone, IIRC. I used to know the name of the series...I want to say "Tradewinds" but for some reason that doesn't sound quite right. Maybe a more knowledgeable Case collector, or CCC member will know or be able to find out, if you're at all interested. I don't know how many were produced, but I can tell you I've seen precious few come up for sale on eBay (and you know I'm constantly scouting the 07 listings).

Got in this Al Mar Denali today. Love the cocobolo handles on this one, plus it was hand engraved by the late Bob Valade, what an artist he was. More information on the Al Mar thread.

What a looker, that is some insane wood grain, not to mention color. The slanted bolster with embellishment rocks. Perhaps a couple of blade replacements and you'll have a great group of users.

I agree with you Marco, but then I might just leave them be,just for the history in them. The big eze daddy the bone has alittle bit missing. I might try myself to repair it, but these badboys I might see if any of the talented guys here can help me out on the repair. I don't feel qualified enough with this old of knives.Madmarco wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 9:08 pmAn incredible score, Theo!Theo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 7:16 pm I was bidding online for an Estate Sale, a lot of different items, older Railroad lanterns, shaving lots, etc, I had forgotten about it. I'm assuming you're referring to an auction hosted by our very own ~Q~, Iman, would you please post directions to it if I'm correct and it's online? Thx!Ivoryman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 5:14 amNice score Jerry, I was wondering if there would be others checking out his stuff like us. Great additions for sure. I'm struggling with the correct term to describe your new Al Mar, Mark, so I'll just go with "Sensational, spectacular, superb, stunning, sweet"!Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 8:24 pm Got in this Al Mar Denali today. It's the model I thought it was when I'd asked you over in "Comfort Knives".
Nice catch, buddy, I'm drooling!

You did get lucky. A terrific find and at a great price. I hope to get lucky too, but I don’t have good luck as a rule. Maybe I will.
