Collapsing military knife Argentine

Just bought a new one on eBay.
Sellers words:
Antique and rare folding knife from the mid-20th century, 1950-1970, manufactured in Argentina by one of the 2 large folding knife factories that the country had, Biselcorte or Albacete, the blade is stamped GERMAN STEEL - ARGENTINE INDUSTRY

I already have a similar one. Much newer and possibly aftermarket.
This one had that authentic look ( maybe )

Sometimes called a "pantograph knife". There are thousands of them with spurious Nazi markings on them but this is the first Argentine one I have seen, pretty cool.

I believe the new models are called "Paratrooper" knives, but I'm not certain of this.

Levine says they're based on a British patent from H.A,Anderson #328,854, July 11, 1929. The design was "borrowed" by Deane & Adams to make Nazi fantasy knives in the 60's. He calls them "lazy tongs" knives. Most were brass. Good luck with it. J.O'

I had one of those Nazi fantasy knives a few years ago, but traded it off. I didn't like the design enough to keep it. On another note... I guess, I need to start wearing stronger eye glasses ... when I first saw this thread I thought it said "Collapsing military Junta, Argentina" ... which actually is not something that unique ...

It looks like Deane & Adams moved their grift to Argentina after they overstayed their welcome in England hawking '' German paratrooper knives '' & ,'' Wells Fargo genuine bowie knives and belt buckles ''. Here is one of their abominations.

When I looked at the last picture it looked like a B/F knife in my minds-eye, and commented without thinking.

Lots of Germans relocated to Argentina after WWII, for various reasons.

As Knife 7 says, the German marked ones were made in England by Dean and Adams, they had nothing to do with Germans or Argentina.

As Knife 7 says, the German marked ones were made in England by Dean and Adams, they had nothing to do with Germans or Argentina.

But that's why I think they chose Argentina stamping for their "scam" knives.
