Blade Show Fort Worth

Anyone planning on going to the Blade Show in Ft Worth this Friday and Saturday, March 17th and 18th? I am planning to go for a while on Saturday.

Based on the vendor list and floor plan layout it looks like if you’re into modern tactical and fixed blades it’s the place to be. If I went I’d probably buy something else I don’t need.

I bet traditional folders will be in the minority. Going with my son, should be fun.

I’m thinking hard about it. It’s just over an hour drive for me and I enjoy seeing what’s out there. Jantz will have a table so maybe I will buy some supplies. Went to one in OKC 2 weeks ago, all custom knives and way out of my price range, but interning to see.

My son and I went last year and I was very disappointed. Ken is right a lot of modern knives and hand crafted ones but very few traditional folders. I couldn't afford anything.

I wonder if the Knife Alley Store is still at the Stock Yards in Fort Worth? It was a long and narrow shop filled with knives in showcases on both walls. That's where I bought my Buck 301 with the Idaho stamp for $50. ftd

I went to the show on Saturday
Lots of beautiful customs. Lots of modern folders. Smoky Mountain about the only one with traditional folders. Had a great time with my oldest. Forgot to take pics.

If you're into modern slipjoints by Ruple and the "slipjoint cartel," lots of them were there. I was there at 5k with mostly fixed blades. This was a custom knife show, not likely the kind where you'd find dealer tables of true traditionals.
