And then that person sends another knife to some one else?

Is there going to be an upper and lower limit on the value of the knives?

New or used?

Sounds like it could be fun, but also sounds like it could get sideways pretty easy as well.

Gonna give everybody that wants to play a chance to put their name in the pool?

Just thinkin out loud.

Something similar has been done here in the past, but not for a few months now. It is called a "Roundtable". Here's how it works........Guidelines are established, usually by a few of the members who reach an agreement as to the type and value of knives that will be exchanged. A signup period is set up, usually a week or more in duration, for all those who wish to participate to get their name in the pot. One member serves as the clearinghouse for both the signup list and then later the assignment of who will send whom a knife. All the participants submit their shipping address to the person conducting the roundtable and then, after the assignments are made, that person (the one conducting the roundtable) sends each participant the address for the person to whom they are to send a knife. That way it is not necessary to post personal information online. A period of time is set for when the knives are to be sent.
The most recent roundtable was for the exchange of vintage knives. Perhaps it's time to have one for old or new knives within a certain value range.
By doing it this way, everyone who wants to participate can, and those who choose not to are under no pressure to.

Hi Glenn,
I live about 40 miles south of Lexington.

I'll start a new thread about a roundtable and see who's interested in participating.
