Frank Mills Knife Question

I purchased this knife from a seller in the UK. The first few letters of the tang stamp are pretty much worn off, but you can make out "nk Mills", and pretty sure it's "Sheffield" below that.

Levine lists the maker but not much more. Goins doesn't even list Frank Mills. I did find a little blurb about him on Hawley Sheffield Knives, with a small amount of information. What I'm puzzled about is the logo. It's incomplete on the blade, but Hawley shows a photo, and it looks like a sewing machine to me. Why in the world would that be? Is this some other type of industrial equipment?

Trimils (the three windmills) and the sewing machine were trademarks of Frank Mills & Co. I have no idea why he chose a sewing machine but his father was actually a clothing dealer so maybe it was a sentimental thing. Cool old knife!!

Levine's 3rd edition says "Owned by J. Nowill" c.1860. Very cool piece! J.O'.
