What a dandy little knife that is.
I couldn't tell you what the covers are but they sure look spiffy.
Just right on a tuxedo!

Thanks! It is a sweet little knife. I only have had one knife with Abalone so wasn’t sure on this one. Possibly a synthetic material also

If you slide it on your tooth and it drags a bit it might be Abalone; if it slides like a skate on ice it might be a plastic of some kind. ::nod::

I blew it up and the color appears to be a little "beneath" the surface, not sure, but if it is it's some kind of plastic. It's a nice imitation of abalone. Cute knife.Good luck, J.O'.

Morning . Believe Camillus had a whole series with these covers . Very nice find . Vit maybe along and help us with the details . I don’t collect the newer Camillus so can’t tell you much more . You don’t see them up for sale often . Seems to me he said he had a few out gas when in storage so not sure it’s Abalone ?? Believe it’s a composite handle material .

I believe the handles are abalone imbedded in acrylic.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Thanks to you all for your input! It does appear to go deeper than the surface- abalone imbedded in acrylic makes sense
