Case 093 Toothpick Resto
This Case XX toothpick arrived with badly shrinking yellow scales (not sure - composite or celluloid?). No pattern stamp, so this one is pre-1949. The mark side is badly shrunken and I think I see that brownish haze starting to form on the bolsters (2nd pic), indicative of celluloid outgassing, but the pile side was oddly in much better shape with no signs of outgassing. Anyway, no metal damage yet. I added some red dye to the usual mahogany that I use with stag, but I'm not sure if this qualifies as "red stag"? But I do like the effect.

Beautiful, Herb!
If I saw that knife in a store I'd buy it, no questions asked.

The stag really sets it off. Excellent work; wish I was in a position to make you an offer on it!
