A couple of nice knives you have there, Eric.
I particularly am attracted to the Pena model, but since I still need both of my arms and legs, the odds against my obtaining one seem slim to none.
That won't stop me from looking though!

Yeah, they are going for about $275 - $300 new on the bay. I made an offer that was accepted. I love my Pena X Series Lanny's Clip and Caballero so I figured I would get the Trapper. I also have a Pena Barlow that will be here today. Now I'm looking for a Large Texas Trapper. ::shrug::

Erict, I am not familiar with Pena knives, but judging from yours they look to be excellent quality with superior designs. Where are they made, please?

The Pena X-Series are made by Reate for Enrique Pena and have the typical Reate quality which is world class for production knives. The Pena Customs are made in U.S.of A. Enrique Pena is out of Loredo, TX.https://www.penaknives.com/

It was a rough day in the Frank household today. Well technically only half because the cub lockback is a Queen City. Man is it small. It’ll go into the 5th pocket. The abalone is gorgeous. The Rough Ryder fixed blade was the one I was looking forward to and it is just what I hoped for. A solid thick piece of steel that I did a paracord wrap on.

Garry, the short answer is: The Pena X-Series are made in China (only Enrique Pena's handmade customs are made in the USA). And they are indeed very high quality knives...as reflected in the price.

Here's my one and only - with natural jade G-10 handle (that I managed to score from an eBay auction for a bit over half the MSRP ::super_happy::) :

Nice one. I’m not a big fan of coated blade although I have many. Blade HQ has a few coated G-10 models at $199.

The detail on that nail slot is gorgeous. It is great to see makers include touches like that.

Great pick-ups, y'all! ::tu:: I thought I'd have a few today, but FedEx seems to have dropped the ball.

If I'm not mistaken Jeeper, the detail you refer to is called "coining". JFYI!
