Very nice little whittler Tom. ::tu::
I'm sure it will be what you're expecting. ::nod::

Tom, that is a superb whittler. A really knice knife and handles. Super!!!
Thanks for the comments gentlemen! ::handshake:: To me, a few friendly comments are almost as important as the knives themselves. Both bring joy to the heart. Maybe that's just me though. ::shrug::

Anyways, I do appreciate it. ::nod:: ::super_happy::

Wish I knew more about who produced these. I asked the seller but got no reply.

No, it's not just you, Tom.
I too get the warm n' fuzzies from reading comments that appreciate my knives.
By the same token, I sometimes feel slighted when someone I was expecting a comment from doesn't post one.
But then I take a minute to consider WHY they didn't post a comment, and since the reasons are endless it makes it all good! 8)

Seller's picture of course.
Seller did the paperwork but didn't actually give it to the Post Office until late yesterday. :x It's in Las Vegas & should be here by Thur or Friday.

Incoming!

Case 2016 Navy blue handle Sodbuster. I don’t have any Sodbusters in my collection of USA-made knives with a patriotic theme… so this will be a great addition.

Can't go wrong with a Sodbuster Jim, and that one has the added feature of being patriotic, very cool! 8)

Sod Busters are always a good choice, and that one is a real looker! ::tu:: Sooner or later I'll hunt down a plain navy blue one and carry the heck out of it.

Well, it finally hit Palatine so I'm going to assume it will be delivered tomorrow.

This is what I'm waiting on.

I had cancelled my Amazon Prime (since I hardly order anything from Amazon anymore), and to avoid paying shipping, I added this to an order of some stuff I needed.

Goldblatt Linoleum Knife--essentially a copy of the Buck TLC from the 1990s. I normally carry a Spyderco, Utica, or Boker hawkbill when I'm out working, as they cut stuff like brush, weed eater string, and rope so much better. I loosened the pin on an Ibberson Endurance Series Pruner (Klein-branded) pruning a tree branch once (I think Utica and Boker use steel pins, the Ibberson was a brass compression rivet), and I decided to see if a fixed blade would take the stress better. I figure for ten bucks, it was worth trying. My only option for a part-serrated model was either this or the Byrd Crossbill, and I figured I'd try the much cheaper fixed blade instead.

No sheath, so I'll have to make one, or see if Lowe's or the local feed store has a linoleum knife sheath.

Looks to have a fairly long tang, but it only looks to be through about half the handle.

This unusual Rough Rider linerlock came recently, it's 8" oal, features black composite cover inserts, and is stamped "Rough Rider" just left of the stud but has no pattern number visible, a counterfeit perhaps? 8)

EDIT: I just noticed I posted this knife in the wrong thread because it's not on the way, it's here already.
Would a mod please move it to "Mail Call"? Thx!

Thanks, Tim.
The absence of a pattern number really has me wondering though. All the Rough Rider knives I've seen are stamped either "RR***" or "RRR***".
Even the scarce RR faux MOP dagger I posted recently has a stamp reading "RR381", and that knife is ancient and discontinued.
Most puzzling, indeed!
