Can't ID maker
Nice little pearl knife; but I can't ID the maker. Anybody have ay ideas? The other blade is marked "Ohligs/Solingen"

Looks like the last part is...---FILER & Co. ot ---FLEER & Co. Can't find anything close my books. What does it look like to you? Try smudging it with a pencil lead. That can help sometimes. Pretty knife. J.O'.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. I also photographed the other tang, which shows the faintest evidence of lettering above "OHLIGS"--perhaps an "E" or "F", followed by a small space and maybe a "B" or "R"...

That's a good call. Their knives were stamped "Ohligs Soilingen". The towns are just across the river from each other. Good eye. J.O'.
