Here’s a Pharmacist tool with the short line stamp . This is a first here have seen a few older Camillus Doctors knives but not a pharmacist piece . The blade is much like a regular knife blade as far as tang/ stamp ,walk and talk .

Looking at this again, it still SUPER COOL!

Yesterday afternoon, my trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread and to be added to my collection. It is a CAMILLUS 72 (short line), second generation, three blades, two tang stamps, 3 5/8" closed, swelled center, "whittler" pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "CAMILLUS (over) NEW YORK (over) USA" The main blade back tang stamp says "72", the pattern number. It is in VERY GOOD+ condition. It needed no cleaning at all. I took some pictures and here it is.

Pyroxylin . A form of plastic . That 23 should be safe . Have never had an issue with this material if knife is stored / taken care of properly. Nice full blades on that one G dog

Thanks J.P. I am a little "off gassing gun shy" after an old straight razor form the 30's made a mess of everything in a cigar box No ventilation and too packed together

Agree on the "23" handles. I've had 3 of these and none had any major shrinkage or warping. Had one that was stone mint and, like a fool, I sold it long ago. It's a great pattern.The Orr Felt and Blanket Company was very generous to give them away. J.O'.

Thanks for the pics Ridge. It’s quite a knife for company give away . The Cover material does hold up well . Even on the Camco and the florist’s knives the thinner pieces don’t curl or shrink much . I believe Camillus called this French Ivory looking color Maize Pyroxylin.

I just got one and started "EDC-ing" it over the weekend I really like the pattern I have been carrying it everywhere for EDC since I got it. It is a great size for me and the blades are nice and full, I love the #23!!!
