New Case quality, thumbs up.

Post by 313 Mike »

Case knives take alot of heat around here for the quality of their new knives, well I got a 2020 trapper in today that is tip top all around. They did it all right on this one. Smooth black micarta, perfectly inlaid arrow shield. Satin finish blades and bolsters. Smooth open and close with great snap, and zero blade play. Nice even blade grinds. I paid $31 for it off ebay, it was listed on dealer sites at $69, so a very reasonable price either way for a US made piece. Just a real solid well built working knife. I even like the new stamp, and it's a ten dot. Nicely done Case. ::tu::

Great knife and super deal too! I’m glad to see a story about quality and not another post complaining. I have got a few stinkers myself but I’m still happy to support an iconic American cutler.

Great to see someone happy with their Case purchase. All my Case knives are of excellent quality, and they should be supported whenever possible. ::tu::

Ha! Nope, no relation. That rock I fished out of the sandy shores of a clear lake in Northern Wisconsin, I set it down on my workbench when I got home and it's been there ever since! Handy for leanin' stuff up against.
Thanks everybody for the kind words on the knife. I''ve always been a Case supporter and it makes me happy when they do it right.

Glad to hear a good review of a Case knife! ::tu::
Of all the Case knives I've bought I can honestly say I've never got one that I'd call a stinker.
Being one of few knife companies remaining in the United States I think they need all the support we can give them.
Beautiful knife by the way! ::tu::

Awesome knife, glad it turned out well. ::groove:: I think currently made Case knives have less issues than some made in the '70's and '80's, but that's just my experience.

Man oh man, that Micarta looks good! Sooner or later I'm gonna have to shell out for a Case in Micarta.

Your knife looks great Mike. As it's been said, the micarta looks teriffic. I too find it most refreshing when someone finds the pros in their knife, and easily overlooks the cons. 8)
