Classical Gas vs. Classic Outgas

Post by btrwtr »

I saw This Case Classic celluloid on the bay and my quirky mind for some reason related to the Mason Williams song Classical Gas.

The song is a classic but the knife described as having "tarnish form storage" is a classic example of a modern celluloid outgassing. Hope the buyer isn't too disappointed when the knife continues to self destruct.

I can’t believe celluloid is still in use.

I’ve been aware of new celluloid knives, and watch out for them, but it still boggles my mind.

Its literally planned obsolescence. Even worse one knife can take out a collection of knives.

Luckily the look never appealed to me, so I haven’t been burned by one. Yet.

I'm still amazed by how a cel handle can completely destroy one side of a knife & leave the other completely untouched!

I agree Ray, but luckily it’s seldom scene. Oh wait, that’s another bluegrass band!
