Show off your Winchester Knives

Winchester entered the knife market as a manufacturer in 1919 by acquiring two existing knife companies; Eagle Knife Co. of Connecticut & Napanoch Knife Co. of New York. Winchester stepped away from the market in 1942 to focus on war related manufactured products, but re-entered in the late 1980s by licensing its name to Blue Grass Cutlery. Blue Grass had high quality knives made by Queen Cutlery that featured the Winchester brand name for a handful of years until the license arrangement ran its course. Winchester eventually started licensing to other companies & now you will find the brand name used by several knife manufacturers by way of license agreements.

Thank you,
I recently got these two big ones, in years past I did not really want these large patterns but now I like them quite a bit.

Any help on this old Winchester knife recently found at an estate sale. Owner stated that he had it in a collection he had as a kid. Now 76. I would like to get some info on the knife. Age, collectible, value, etc. The blade is marked: Winchester, Trademark, Made in USA. The other side is stamped 2051. The handle seems to be Mother of Pearl but not sure they came with that. The large blade has a small chip out of the point as shown in pictures. Thanks in advance for any information on my find.

The handles are celluloid. They are original. Value is minimal. In this condition about $10.

Nice Mike.
I expect Winchester gave Schrade the contract for making that knife for them too Mike. Just speculating because they did this bone example and the pattern seems very similar.

Yes. Your 2881 was a Contract Knife made for Winchester by Schrade Cut. Co. I have a 2880 that is like yours except that my knife has a Spear main Blade. My 2880 would like your 2881 as a forever partner. ::tu:: Mike

You’ve got some fantastic examples, Rob. I love the Bull’s Head shield. I recently missed a Whittler with that shield and have been kicking myself for not jumping on it.
This is one of my favorites from the Black Box series….the 3907.
