JonTerry wrote: Mon Jan 16, 2023 10:56 am Right now, and most of the time........hang on I'll get it out my pocket for a photo, but it's a Chinesse Schrade stockman ha !!!

I love it, it goes everywhere with me and I don't mind abusing it at all, I have so many vintage quality stockmans and all sorts tbh, but I would worry about damaging them, so this is my little work horse and I think it's kinda neat that no matter what I do, it stays tight and sharp.

Oh apart from snaping a tiny bit of the clip point whist breaking into my Dads house when he locked himself out, that involved Climbing up to the first floor bathroom window and tickling the narrow top window 8"x 24" open with my knife. Then a squeeze through it and fall into the bath.

Great story, thanks for sharing. Sort of makes the knife more meaningful and you paint a good word picture. ::tu::

David you have two lovely knives and you set off their solid colors beautifully against the plaid background.

Barlows are a pattern I've never really warmed up to, but I do like the one that Garry showed. The bones and the design on the bolster give it a great and distinctive look.

And is that a GEC Muskrat from David?

Hey all. Life's been keeping me pretty busy and keeping my EDC pretty standard, especially when traveling for work on a shoestring. I've had to pare down the users to handle more tasks than I'm used to tackling with just the knives in my pockets or on my belt, so for a while now and for the foreseeable future I've been toting these two - more for the utility than for the looks. I do miss not having to leave the pocket jewelry at home, but thank goodness for portable technology and usable folding knives. :D

Great to see you posting again, Tsar...you've been missed. Must admit, though, I'm somewhat surprised that one of your EDCs isn't a Barlow! :o

Thanks, Q, good to see you too. The Barlow collection is still close to my heart, and my #1 ten-dot is still at home and available when needed. Lately there's been no watchpocket in the everyday wardrobe however, so I have to maximize my economy of space. Sometimes I switch the whittler for a muskrat modified with a wharncliffe, and the moose will occasionally get swapped out for a granddaddy Barlow with a big spey blade in place of the usual secondary pen - but that's usually only when I can spare a back pocket. :lol:

Looks deeeeeeeeeeelicious, r&t!

Awesome carries, guys! ::nod::👍

My wife is doing this 3 week fruit and veggies diet with protein supplements, she made vegetarian chili today and I peeled the sweet potato and onion. No meat in the chili but there's plenty of meat in this knife. 😉

Thanks, GSP. And the chili turned out surprisingly well, very spot on with the spices. I love that Church Key style opener on your Scout. 😎👍👍

Much appreciated, I-Man. ::handshake:: It's been interesting this year, downtime hasn't been nearly as plentiful and I've had to limit the daily rotation. I bucked the trend today as I get to sleep at home for the last night this week and decided to tote some 1095 since I didn't have to worry about high humidity until later in the week. This is one user that's overdue for a polishin'... ::doh::
