What Does This Bulldog Knife Commemorate?

A couple of months ago another member sent me a picture of this pearl handled 4 1/8 inch trapper. Does anyone know what this knife is supposed to commemorate? I called a lot of resources and struck out. I even called Parkers, but got Ed on the phone who remembered the knife, but not anything else. I asked to speak to Buzz Parker, but Ed just said Buzz doesn't know (can you let the man speak for himself?). Anyway I could not get through. I did find and purchased the same knife through a friend of mine only it was brown smooth bone instead of pearl.

Both area 4th generation Bulldog 4 1/8 inch 2 blade trappers with a 1998 standing dog tang stamp. The spear blade has a fancy frosted etch as well as a deep etch of a locomotive with a building behind it. The clip blade has a frosted etch with deep etched teepees, a pair of spears, an Indian with a headdress, an American flag, and an eagle standing on an American shield. It has started to drive me a bit nuts, trying to figure out what this commemorates.
At first I thought it might commemorate the US Transcontinental Railroad, but that did not make sense, I looked it up and it was completed in 1869, an odd year for a commemoration.
So, can anyone help me out with this knife by telling me and the original questioner, does this knife commemorate anything special?

Hi Hukk I dont know if this helps at all or not , but the guy I buy alot of my knives from (a small dealer in Kingsport TN) has one exactly like it in pearl and he is calling it "How the West was Won" commemerative and selling it for $85. Whether that is what it was called coming from the factory or if it is something he made up I dont know, but I will ask him this weekend and he will give me an honest answer. Hope that helps some.
