Another knife ID
This one has been lying around one of my haunts for a couple years. Maybe a Bakelite handle, odd blade, kind of saber ground and a fluted tang. Neat little oval guard. No markings. About 10 inches overall. Too thick for a fillet or boning knife. Not a familiar kitchen pattern ???? Any ideas? Thanks. J.O'.

Re: Another knife ID
Nothing intelligent from me (par for the course).
At first I wondered if it was made from an old saber or bayonet, but after looking closer I do not believe that is the case.
But I do hope that somebody on here knows!

Thanks Rev. Yes, I think it was made the way it appears now. J.O'.
