That "Excelsior Clipper" is a fantastic find. Like it came out a time capsule.

The 3 5/8ths-inch regular jack btrwtr showed photos of declares itself an "Excelsior Clipper" by its main blade etch. As for your Excelsior, I do not know if any name was similarly etched on the blade, nor do I know the length. They are both regular jacks. The shields are different, and the handle material to my eye has a different complexion.

Yours is a great buy. What is its length?

Would this be the same model as yours? I found this over the weekend for $10. I had never heard of excelsior knife co. just thought it was a cool, older, well made knife. Thank you for any help
Very similarbut yours looks to have a bit more bolster to it. Great find for sure!

Don’t know much about it other than it is an awesome knife. That stag and huge spear blade are top notch.

One of the nicest knives I've ever seen Jimbo! That style frame, that style blade, nothing short of perfection! If you ever decide to sell I'm in line right behind gal1882! ::nod:: Please never be shy about reviving a thread no matter how old, the more information the better! Oh ya, did you get the feedback you were hoping for? lol! 8)

I agree, that is an exceptionally beautiful knife, Jimbo!
It is rare to see such a full blade on any knife that old.
