I agree, I love natural natural scales but abalone is almost too 'flash' to be natural but it is quite an incredibly material and of course on a switchblade, what more could one ask for.

I have 2 reference books sitting on a shelf that don’t get used too much. 1st is a soft bound “Latama Legend”, the 2nd is “switchblades of Italy”, (I think).

It's a highly modified 2018 Triumph motorcycle. Pic attached. A good day, got the new battery installed. More cleaning to do and some more parts to fit and she will be back on the road (weather permitting) by next week.

My wife Deborah doesn't ride, so I bought this just for the back seat to be able to take her for rides. But I did give her the choice of any bike she wanted and she chose this lovely Indian Chief Vintage. It must be the most expense pillion seat I've ever bought...

Many folks I know though as much because I mentioned I bought this bike for her (to ride on the back), so it's an easy mistake to mate.

I've been riding over 40 years but she is/has never been into bike but she has take to (riding on the back) like a duck to water and totally loves it.

All this time I thought you were buying them in real time, when in reality you've had them all along, you sneaky devil you! lol! I'm really liking how you're incorporating your firearms into your pictures too!

I bought this one a while ago and think I forgot to photograph it. I actually think I have one more that I need to post, so will check this week.

For me, there is something rather special about the French Horn Tip scales, I'm not sure if it's the translucence or the light 'milky' colors, I just feel their rather special.

I was just teasing bud! I also am fond of the French horn, and for the same reason, the "milky" appearance. I've seen copies of knives where the horn wasn't as good, kindda darker, and it's not nearly as attractive. Lookin' forward to the next one!

As I had not much on today and was sitting around enjoying some Switchblades I thought I would snap a photo or two of the Latama Customs I managed to get in 2022 and show/compare some of the details.

From left:
Picklock, stag horn with turquoise button.
Picklock, black & white horn with sapphire button.
Swivel Bolster, pine-cone with sapphire button.
Swivel Bolster, black & white horn (older custom).
Picklock, French horn with ruby button.

Excited to see what the next twelve months will turn up.

Well thank you pal, your taste ain't so bad itself! Beautiful knives like these need to feature slight subtleties, cuz "wouldn't it be a real drag if they were all the same"! That's from a 70's song, but I'll be darned if I can recall the name of it!
