Hi All. New here. I was gifted this knife and was wondering if anyone could help me learn more about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The previous owner is an older gentleman that says he has had it as long as he can remember and doesn't know where he got it from. Sorry these are not the greatest pictures, my phone camera is not so good.
Just curious to learn more about it.

Thorton by Federal Knife Co. made in the 1940's. Nice looking knife!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
