Queen Cut Co Titusville Pa Question

Post by DMLEATH »

Good day! I have this Queen Cut Co trapper style #19. I searched through the website for Queens and couldn’t find this exact knife. Could someone help me with a date on this one? Thanks for all your help!

That's a mighty fine looking Queen Trapper!
According to my limited research capabilities, the Queen Cutlery, in the arc, was used from1990-2017. The stamp could be on either side, mark or pile and was sometimes accompanied with year stamped below.

Well, it's a Queen Steel #19 with Winterbottom bone scales. I've got one, and my notes date it from 1984 thru 2018, my guess is early to mid 90s.I've never seen a complete tang stamp reference for Queen, but I don't put a lot of faith in those references anyway.

The tang stamp guide provided by Philip (treefarmer) is more comprehensive than this one, but it shows the same date (1990-2018) for the tang stamp on the OP knife.

A quick look in the Queen Cutlery Collector’s forum here found this viewtopic.php?f=61&t=75350

Which leads you to this

https://gbh929.a2cdn1.secureserver.net/ ... 6-2022.pdf. Your stamp is there, just scroll down to find it.

So, looks like it's from 1999 then. Nice knife; the red Winterbottom bone is very attractive. 8) ::tu::
