Yes sir, a short line. The listed price was $15.99. But the flat rate shipping kicked it up $10 and some change. Still, like an addict I couldn’t help myself.Gone2Three wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 4:40 amBest I can tell from the picture is that it's a short line tang stamp, so y'a did good on that oneColonel26 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 7:07 pm I broke my streak. Price was right, so I took a chance.
The blades are stained, who knows what shape it’s in, but this darn addiction sometimes takes over my better judgment. I hope y’all are stronger than me. Here are the seller’s pics.

Cool MTech Jerry!
I have a few scattered throughout my collection, inexpensive and solid knives! I thought the button was an axis-lock, but after a 2nd look, I see it's a button, is this an automatic knife? Thx!

I don't think so. I believe the button is a blade lock.

Thanks Jerry!
The buttons I've seen are always for automatically deploying the blade, whereas the axis-locks I've seen are always that sliding doohickey, so that's why I asked!

Leatherman Juice XE6.
Leatherman discontinued the Juice line in 2018, and they were bringing some insane prices. I had bought a C2 on sale when they were going out, but it lacked a file and awl, so I tended to just grab a PST instead. Despite being poor sellers, they had gotten absolutely insane on the secondary market.
Leatherman found a large number of the XE6 and CS4 models in the warehouse and listed them earlier in the month at $80. For Black Friday, they were $40. The
I figured there was no reason I should not buy one at that price (I think even the originally $30 Rev now is north of $50 MSRP), and birthday money had helped me recover from the big purchase I made at a local cutlery store on the 2nd.
The XE6 was the top of the line at the time, so it has ALL the tools that were offered. It still only weighs just shy of 7 ounces.

Santa will deliver me this Victorinox Farmer X Alox from Wanger this Christmas.
I'll have to make a nice blue lanyard for it.

Well, my sweetheart said I could pick out something for Christmas so I chose this one. It was a hard choice though. They had red, blue, black & green. They also had a set of all 4 colors.

Nice one Tom!
I have an Albany Felt Settler (two blades, one spring on the 93mm frame) with both blades damaged badly (bent main, broken and bent small clip), and have been thinking about putting its handles on a Farmer X, since the color was only used by them sometime in the '60s.

The regular silver colored Alox knives are a bit cheaper than the colored ones. You could get a used one in good condition to try that out on.cody6268 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 7:32 pmNice one Tom!

Re: It's In The Mail
I purchased a Schrade USA 34OT as a Christmas gift for a family friend. Case is way up there these days, and I decided the knife I bought wouldn't just be a cheap carded $10 China special, and it seems that the cheap Buck Bantam two-packs are no more--neither Cabela's nor Tractor Supply had them, online or in store.
This one rang in under my $20 budget at $17 shipped, of which $10 was the knife. Doesn't look to have been used much.
The 108OT is a good around-the-house carry, but is a bit small for me (though the scissors on the 106OT are as good as Victorinox--thus it often rides in the fifth pocket in place of a Classic SD). The 34OT is perfect for around-the-house use (though, it is tied with the 33OT Middleman Jack on the same frame) or EDC for those who don't have to do a lot of heavy cutting. The 8OT is a good full-size Stockman for the big jobs, and my preferred member of the Schrade Stockman family for EDC.
For the size of the Lumberjack, I'd rather just go with a 96OT.
