New, but enthusiastic!

Hi Folks! I've already posted several questions and gotten some good information.
I joined the forum within the last two weeks, but thought maybe I should throw some info out of my own.

I've made the statement that I inherited my Case collection along with a few other brands from my dad. I've had the feeling that maybe a few thought I was just saying that. It is absolutely true.
Even though I haven't put in all the work and time that he did, I still appreciate the beauty and work put into these knives. I just finished my inventory of the Case knives but have to list the other brands.
It was better than Christmas!
Most of the collection is new, never used because he bought to sell. These are what he had left when he passed away and there are about 100 Case knives.
I don't know how many times I said, 'Wow, look at THIS' etc.

I may have questions later about the best place to sell a few. EBay fees seem high but since I'm not going to actively get into buying more, I don't know if an online store would be worth it.
By the way, I'm on the Texas coast and met 'Ike' last September first-hand!

If you do not need the money fast for those super Case knives from your dad. Then OUR Bryan is the man you need to talk to.
He can help you set up a store here or you can send them to Bryan and he will sell them for you. Bryan is a very trustful person.

Just one thought form you from me. You could make a TIME Capsell with them old knives for you own kids. Like every 10 years what ever is in the box is theirs.

Many of people that sold some knives later say GEEEE I wish I still had that knife.

Hi Charlie

I have noticed some of your posts and can tell you are very interested in learning about knives. I applaud you for your interest and your willingness to learn. I learn something every day on this site. The more I learn, the more I enjoy collecting knives. They aren't just a pile of old knives, they have history and tell their own story once you start learning how to decipher it.
The collection of knives your father left you is a wonderful gift. Unless you really need the money, I'd advise you to hang on to every single one of them. You may be able to buy others like them or even nicer, but they will never have the sentimental value of the ones that your father left to you. Sounds to me like he has given you the foundation for a great collection that you can enjoy for the rest of your days if you so choose.
You might be surprised at how many others got interested in collecting knives because someone close to them either left them some knives when they passed on or gave them some while they were still living. I had an uncle who got me started collecting knives 40+ years ago. He collected knives and that spurred me to get interested in doing so too. He's gone now and his collection went to his grandsons. I would have loved to have recieved even one of his knives, but that did not happen. What I did get was the gift of a hobby that I have now enjoyed for more than four decades.

I got interested when my deceased step father left me a dealer display full o' Smith n Wessons..
YEP... I sold em on Ebay for a small fortune..... but that sparked the grass fire..
Wish i still had em... altho MY interests are now WARDS and SCHRADE...

IF (that's a big IF) I sell a few knives, I am assuming that someone who's adding to their collection might pay the best price while those who are reselling would pay less. Also, if the time comes to part with some, I would give you guys a 'heads up'.

I intend to post a few pics on this site soon. I'm really not 'blowing smoke' about how nice some of these are and their condition.

I don't WANT to sell any of them; time will tell if I need to.
I'm hoping that some of you can advise me on the best 'market' for selling. I'm trying to learn as much as possible and have been noticing the ones that seem popular on this site. Checked out online stores & EBay.........tell you the truth, EBay terrifies me.......just don't think that's the place for the knives that are XX era but maybe some slightly newer ones.
