Cold Steel SRK

Post by ken98k »

In my never ending search for good quality, reasonably priced, fixed blade knives, I've found one in the SRK-C (Survival Rescue Knife -Compact) from Cold Steel.
Made in Taiwan, the knife features a very sharp 5" SK5 tool steel blade, Cold Steel's Kray-ex handle, and a rigid synthetic sheath.
This knife will make great all purpose hunter, woodcraft or EDC. It is very similar to the Gerber Strongarm, just a little lighter in weight and half the cost.
I found my copy on ebay for just about $35. This is one knife that didn't disappoint me.

That one looks like it could do some serious work.

Nice!

I had originally decided on the Gerber LMF or Strong Arm for a work fixed blade but decided the Cold Steel SRK will be just as good at half the price. It's also less bulky.
