Hammer multi tool
Picked this up at an estate auction. Don't see another one like it online, but I did find something similar that was made by Valor in Japan and given as Christmas gifts to the employees of an auto parts company in Ohio. The claw portion of the hammer is actually a pry bar. Anyone recognize the maker on this? Comments?

I've been to three county fairs and a goat roping contest, but I've never seen anything quite like that.

I spent some time online trying to get some info on this and didn't find another. This is a cousin to it, and I was wrong it was not made by Valor but was made by Vernco in Japan. Closest match I've found.

I believe it is a cigar box hammer used to open & close wooden cigar boxes where the lid is secured by tiny nails(brads).

Count me in too. I’ve never seen a hammer multi tool. But it is cool!

Re: Hammer multi tool
I had one of those once. It was in a collection I bought many years ago. I think I sold it, but can’t remember the details. The cigar box hammer sounds like a great explanation. I could tell it had a specific purpose but could never figure out what it was, nor could I figure out the maker. Glad you posted this, I just saw this post and recognized that hammer.just bob wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 2:20 pm Picked this up at an estate auction. Very cool. Ray (knife7) has one with a monkey design on the frame.
