My thread was pulled?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

So my thread regarding the NHL going woke was pulled?

Do I get an explanation, at least?

It's not been pulled It's in the controversial off topic discussion board, to get access to it I think you have to contact Bryan.
I just read it. ::tu::

And yet the "Do you follow politics or shut it off" thread remains here, even though it long ago stopped being about the original question. The rules seem a bit inconsistent...

TFL! Retired less a month and you've turned into a crotechy old man.... like the rest of us. See what happens when you have time on your hands. Maybe I should send an encouraging note to your wife. To get you on the road to recovery, first go buy some fish bait. And if you don't catch anything buy a new old knife. If further counseling is necessary I am available. ::handshake::

I moved the thread to the Controversial Off Topic forum because the subject matter raised race issues and I felt the potential was there for some controversy. It' was a judgement call. I stand by it.

If you would like to have access, you'll need to send Bryan a PM and request to be included. This forum is not viewable without requesting permission in order to maintain a level of decorum here on AAPK and still accommodate those who wish to venture out onto the thin ice.

Contact Bryan, usually a PM is all that is required. Ask to be put onto the controversial thread list, it is at the bottom of the knife forum index. Just go to the knife forum link at the top left hand corner of the home page and scroll right down to the bottom, you cannot miss it. ::tu::

I purposely steer clear of that thread. My grandmother used to say, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." And sometimes that becomes a gray area for me . . . ::super_happy::

I fully understand that, that is why it was moved and you have to register to engage. But for me i find it a good way to read the thoughts of fellow members and get everyone's thoughts, because the mainstream media here is just so biased and you never get the full picture. You have a good weekend. ::handshake::

I’ve steered clear of that thread also. I stopped watching the news back in January of 2021, it was getting me so worked up and upset that I finally decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Before they moved this thread and made it an “opt in” option, I was getting worked up at fellow members and I really don’t need that. It’s much easier to interact with folks when you haven’t crossed swords verbally about issues. So I still haven’t signed up for this thread and don’t intend to.

Same here! There are other places on the interwebs I can go if I want to argue with people.
