UNION STAMP QUESTION

Post by Ridgegrass »

I have a knife with an obliterated stamp on the main blade (obliterated with maybe an "N" as the last letter) over CUTLERY over CO. The secondary pen is clearly stamped TIDIOUTE in a half-moon over PA. Could it be a UNION ? Thanks. J.O'.

I thought of this one too.
I didn't see your post before, I don't think it's a Schatt stamp, at least not like mine. Weird stamp J.O.

I'm leaning toward UNION. there was a PENN. CUTLERY in Tidioute but the residual mark doesn't look like that. Does anyone recognize the half-moon TIDIOUTE, PA as something UNION used? Gunsil, jump in here.
Here's the knife, glitter celluloid, brass liners.3". Great snap. J.O'.

Funny I am only about 40-50 miles from Tidioute and Titusville but I NEVER find knives marked with those towns.I hit auctions and garage sales all the time too.. mostly Queen and Imperial/colonial Ka-bar in this area.I would think there would be more locally.
