Just picked up this really nice Remington from Celluloid Hero. These blades really walk and talk and have really pretty Remington brown bone handles.

Wrigley Knife

This Remington is odd. I believe it's an R1823, but I don't ever remember seeing one with the pattern number on it. Does anyone know why?

What's a Wriggly knife? The Remington book shows this pattern.

OK This is from memory so it may not be 100% right. In Oct. 1925 the Wriggly Gum Co.
had Remington make a promotion knife it was your knife no pattern number and I think
no etch. They gave these knives for wrappers and some money. The R1823 was a regular production knife that was etched and had a pattern number. Hope most of this is right.
I found this in my Voyles book pg 270. They were traded for wrappers only and they made one million knives for Wrigley's
