I'm glad I stocked up while Trump was in office and things were available and affordable.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
Had a good supply prior and not trying to one up but since 9/11. Every trip to hardware store or where available a couple boxes. Cost was spread out that way.
Rarely buy any now as I really don't need any. Never understood present company excluded, why people would wait to find ammo when there is none available or prices based on supply and demand are sky high. I usually always stick to NATO or common calibers in case a time might occur. If you know what I mean. Easier to procure.
My ex wife asked me one time, "why do you keep buying or need so much ammo?" I replied, "honey, if we ever get to the answer to that question, we are likely in deep doo-doo". That is the sanitized response of course.
And I usually always use cash for firearm and related purposes. Not saying, I never used a card but...

During the pandemic when ammo was nearly unavailable I sold some of my stash. Pretty hard to sell a handgun if the buyer couldn’t get ammo for it. Sold a bunch of the Taurus Judges with my 45LC ammo. Same with 1911s and my .45 auto ammo. Buyers would say, I want the gun but where can I get ammo? Nobody has any. My reply, I can sell you 100 rds if you buy the gun and quote the price. Sold. Fortunately I had a lot on hand.

Same reason people wait to buy toilet paper until they are out, don't buy food until the cupboard is bare, don't buy gas until the tank is empty. Human nature I guess. I have never bought a firearm with a credit card and would never even consider it.zp4ja wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 1:43 am Had a good supply prior and not trying to one up but since 9/11. Re: Guns & Gun Related Stuff
I have used a CC for most of my gun & ammo purchases because much is online. But I always pay off the card in full every month. Haven’t carried a balance for 30 years. The various rewards from the card usage covers most of my Christmas shopping every year.
But I always have cash if it might get a better price at a pawnshop or small gun shop where cash cash talks and BS walks.
My shelves and freezer are always full because I remember the days of being a single mother of 2 living paycheck to paycheck.

I shot in a charity sporting clays event with my friends a couple of weeks ago. We were one of about 30 teams that participated. We won, but due to supply chain issues, our awards were delayed for a week or so. We finally received these trophy belt buckles yesterday. We all agreed we like the buckles better than the plaques or medallions usually given out. I told the guy running it that next year they need to hand out a pair of fancy suspenders to the winners.

Very nice, Samb!
Those things kinda' grow on you, I've got a couple, a .223 and a 6.5 Grendel. What for I don't really know?
They just sit there, Lord willing when I go to the woods, I'll still be carrying my walnut and blue steel .243.
What is the sight system on your rifle?
