WW II Theater Made Folding Knives
Hi, Any one out there have any WWII theater made folding knives to show? You see alot of fixed blade theater knives, in fact there are a few books devoted to just that subject. However I have never seen a folding blade theater knife, until I bought this one from a vet who`s shipmate made it during the war. Unfortunateley he did not remember the guys name, nor is the knife marked. It is a big knife 5 3/4 long closed, 4 7/8" blade. The handle material is an exotic foreign wood, steel bolsters, thick brass liners, steel pins on the bolsters and copper on the handles. Good snap on open not much on the close. The knife blade has been "jeweled", overall a very good constructed knife If you have any please post them to this thread.

Beautiful knife!I have a couple in my collection that I haven't been able to identify and maybe that is what they are.
This one has quite large proportions and the nail mark is very small and on the right side of the blade(possibly for a left handed person)and it appears that it might have been made from a fixed blade. The scales are decorated aluminum.Whatever it is unusual is what comes to mind.

Knife7knut, Nice knife. Looks to be a commercial made knife from the 50`s JMO.
It certainly is an unusual old knife whatever it is! Have an pics of some other knives?
