Need Some Help On This Russell

Post by Paladin »

Guys,
I have checked all my usual sources and I don't find any info on this tang stamp. Is this a real Russell? Does this stamp come after the Goins and LGIV were published?
I will certainly appreciate you thoughts.

Ray, is that stag?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Ray there was a commemorative two knife set done in 1998. I don't recall who the maker was but I think it was Colonial. I think your knife is from that set. Here's a pic of a set that was sold some time ago here on AAPK:

I saw those here on AAPK and I considered what you said but weren't the knives in that set serial numbered? My knife is not numbered. I guess this would not completely exclude my knife for being part of the set as sometimes only part of the knives are numbered.
Thanks for the help on this.
