I have a model 6232 Case knife and I'm wondering the age of it. It is stamped
case xx

Case used that tang stamp from 1965 until 1969. After that, starting in 1970 they began dating knives with the dot system so you could tell the exact year they were made.

Just about every Case knife made since before 1920 has had some variation of "Case XX" in the stamp. There was a period from mid 1940's to 1964 when Case XX by itself was the predominant stamp used on pocket knives. U.S.A. was added in 1965. Though from the description it sounds like your knife probably fits the 1965-1969 time period without a picture of the stamp its not possible to say so with certainly.
