Lakeside Cutlery Knife Handle
Sorry, I been asking a lot of questions about some knifes, but I’ve got quit a few right now that I just don’t know a lot about.
The handles on this Lakeside knife, any idea what the handles are made of?

Also, your knife was made in Chicago and is a trademark use by Montgomery Ward.
They were only made from 1920-1930.
No need to apologize about asking questions.
Nice knife.

The knife wasn't made in Chicago, but by a contract manufacturer.

Thank you, Roger.
Rereading Goin's: Lakeside is from Chicago.
I assumed Lakeside made it.
Any thoughts on who might have made it in those days?

Lakeside was a Montgomery Ward house brand. Challenge made many of them, often recognizable from the bone jigging. Not sure who might have made the celluloid but Challenge would be a good guess. JMO

Winchester made a lot of Contract Knives for Wards. The celluloid handles look like Winchesters celluloid. I say Winchester made the knife. Mike

Thanks for all the replies. I buy and sell a lot of knives and sometimes one will catch my eye. This handle design is very unique!

The Lakeside's I have seen were either made by Challenge or Miller Brothers. The majority being Challenge.
