Antique Gold Pocket knife Petty&Sons

Hey All I have an antique gold pocket knife 4 bladed Petty & Sons I have managed to make out finally. I have already asked for any help that I can get for a few more details. I have better pictures now, so hopefully everyone will see the markings quite clearly now. So again you lovely lot any info will be very much appreciated. Thank you

The hallmark in the handle states that it's 9 karat gold. The 9 and 375 indicate 9 karats, the "a" would be a date mark. Petty and Sons were located in Perth, England and were in business from 1858 to 1953. Just missed the 100th year mark. Not much value in the knife with the broken blades and condition in general. You'd be better off knocking it apart and selling the handles, shackle and liner for the gold content as that's likely what anyone you sell it to will do. Probably at least a few hundred dollars worth there depending on how much they weigh.
