Beautiful set David. I've been admiring this series for awhile, and I'm thinking the toothpick at the bottom looks very much like the A.G. Russell Texas Ranger series "Clasp" knife. Really attractive color too! 8)

I heard on the news that inflation is officially over ::ds:: ( ::skeptic:: )
So, to celebrate, I splurged on this K'roo Wharncliffe Swayback with Pepper Tree Root Burl handle (since I no longer have to worry about the cost of gas & groceries! ::hmm:: )

Well I'll be darn Q since all that stuff is over I guess I had better tell Cheryl so I can get back to knife hunting like I want to.
BTW nice knife, you have some of the best looking knives I see posted on AAPK.... ::tu::

 wow Q, that's a nice one!

I've been away from home so I'll post up my latest findings together here...

Picked up a beautiful Western Bolder Colorado bone handle knife in great condition, also an old swell center stamped Ulster over Knife USA ...72 clone?
A neat Indian Chief- pewter handled Bowie, maker unknown but marked 88 FM , it's more decorative than anything but it struck me as a unique piece, picture taken with my latest copy of Texas Highways...
And lastly a used copy of the 2nd edition Goins book of markings from our brother Reverand...thank you again my friend ::handshake::

Thanks David, Floyd & Gone2Three for the kind words; it's always more fun to share with an appreciative audience of like-minded knifers. ::nod::

This Browning Wharncliffe Swaybelly is pretty much on the other end of the price spectrum as the K'roo and is made in China (gasp! ::uc:: ), but still a pretty decent little knife for the money. It's a SMKW exclusive called the "Steambank" and has a long pull on either side of the blade for right- or left-hand opening, a feature not commonly seen on very many knives. Handle is brown resin-laminated canvas. Closed length = 3½"

I saw that one the other day when I was poking around on their website. I thought about it
and then went on for the RR I was looking for. Good one ~Q~ ::tu::

In my mail today was a gift from Steamboat Willie! Thanks buddy! 1971 Case XX P172L SSP "BOSS" lockback clasp knife with SS blade, NS and brass hardware, and beautiful Pakkawood covers, 9 3/4" oal. It's specially cool since I didn't have a clasp knife represented in my collection and now I do! 8)

Thanks a bunch Whitney! It's not actually my style either, but it was a gift from a fellow member so I definitely have a place for it in my collection. I love my stilettos but this is a BIG knife so I have no complaints! 8)

I forgot I put this one on my Birthday Wish List when I bought the other one. Now I have two and this one is much better than the one I bought for myself.

I like your knife Jerry. Barn board is one of the few jigging patterns I enjoy on a using knife.
