Garry! If you do a Google search for "Piranha knives" all kinds of sites pop-up. From there you'd have to start comparing price, shipping, etc., or, you could buy the one in Jamie's picture as soon as he lists it in his store. The model in the picture is their "Fingerling" model, but be sure to look at ALL their models cuz you might see one you like even more. Hope that helps! 8)

Thanks for the plug buddy, they are a solid platform as well as the other autos I have, the Benchmade is a joy to operate and the GT knives are great too, I have a few OTF they too have a big following. But these piranhas are well just fun… it will be in the $140 range.

And couple lionsteels, a Bradford, a Battle axe, because those are my favorites, paperwork inside the tubes confirms only 100 made…I think I’ve bought and sold 20 of each handle material LOL

I just picked up an Old Hickory pocketknife, and I mainly got it because it was made by Queen, now I look for the OK mark when I might have past it up before a few years ago when I did not know Queen was the maker.

Any thoughts on the Ganzo? I have one that I have beat the He// out of, and it is still going strong.

Congrats, good looking knife. I know it's just pics and am not the one with it in hand, but the pics you posted look like they have none of the many flaws my last Case 54 Trapper single blade wharn with OD green micarta has. I had to send it back to the factory so they could attempt to fix it. I wonder why the quality control at Case seems to be fine on their modern knives, and is taking a dive on the Traditionals, even SFO Traditionals? I can't figure it out, but that looks like it ought to look. Good score.
Thanks, I-Man ::handshake:: I was very happy with the quality and the value. I think a similar Benchmade would cost about %50-%75 more for a similar knife. I am a big Benchmade fan and own several so I have a base to compare both. The next step is EDC and how it works/performs in "the field". ::hmm::

I can’t find any fault with them, they are all solid and come very sharp, but they are all tactical looking, what seems to be what the majority of people look for today

I found this PAL RH-70 for $12 on eBay. The seller said, "found in tacklebox", and it will need some rust removal.

The leather handles are slightly loose. I like this pattern a lot. It's light and has just enough blade length at 4". It's also thin, which means it's more than adequate for small and medium game. This isn't a knife (like too many made today) that has a super-thick blade designed for stuff you should be grabbing a small axe for. Those are a pain in the butt to sharpen and have horrible cutting geometry. If I try hard enough to sharpen it and get it right, I think this knife will be easy to get very sharp.

Looks like automatics are perfectly okay in your neck of the woods. Didn't they require a carry license or FOID at one time?

Not sure why I pulled the trigger on this one the other day, but it’s exactly what I have always wanted in a Sodbuster, a thumb stud, linerlock and a pocket clip. Smith and Sons had this made in Maniago Italy. G10 handles and a carbon steel blade. I may end up having to carry this one. Still uncertain what I am going to do with it, but the more I look at it and handle it, the more I just want to use it.

Definitely the coolest and nicest Sodbuster I've ever seen Mark. Those handles look extremely comfortable to hold. Not hard to see why you wanted this one! 8)

Thanks Mark, It does feel good in hand. I really like a knife that can be opened one handed. This is the nicest black G-10 I’ve seen.

I went to a local after hours "trade fest" and a buddy's knife shop a few years ago, my 1st time. I brought good old USA pocketknives and stag handled fixed blade hunting/bowie knives to trade. ::teary_eyes:: ::td:: ::skeptic:: It was a big flop for me. :( Almost everyone was younger than me by a lot ::skeptic:: and all they wanted was the latest Tacti-cool, tactical-tackle-berry knives. ::hmm:: I said to myself "What happened to me? ::shrug:: I used to be cool... now I am just an old fart'' :(
