Coleman Western Stamp
Hi folks. I'm back with another "ID" question. Can someone tell me the significance of the individual letter stamp on Coleman Western knives? My dad's collection contains a number of them. I read something that seemed to indicate it refers to a date but not sure. Thanks for any assist!

It's a date code, K=1987. "A" begins in 1977. Not sure where they stop.

Re: Coleman Western Stamp
The last year was 1991, "O" being the letter for that year. Very, very few 1991 knives. I think I have 2. That was the year Coleman sold Western to some Boulder businessmen who essentially killed the business and sold off the assets. IP to Camillus and hardware / tools to other buyers.
