What knife for an complete EDC for under $50
What knife would you choose if you had to buy a knife, watch, key organizer, flashlight, wallet and multi toll ALL for under $50?

New I would get a Rough Ryder. Some go on Ebay for $15 or less, shipped. Other than that, you can get a good used American made @ a yard sale or flea market for under $15 if you look long enough & hard enough. OR PM your name & address to me & i'll send a decent EDC to you depending on what you plan to use it for.

Hes not looking for a knife. He’s not looking for advise. He’s trying to get people to watch his you tube videos.

Hold on fellas! If someone wants to pay him for making videos, and inducing people to click on his videos, as long as they’re legal I say more power to him. I’ll not begrudge a person for trying to make a buck, especially if that buck doesn’t come from my pocket. If you’re interested in what he’s doing, support him.
As for me personally I haven’t seen any need to watch them myself. They just aren’t of interest to me, but possibly they are to others.
This latest video, which is the subject of the OP in this thread, seems to me a faulty premise. I’m the guy whose motto is “Life’s too short to carry cheap cutlery.”
However as previously stated, some pretty good used knives from historical American, European and Japanese cutlers can be had for very little money, without resorting to buying something that funds the Chicom regime.

Did not know what to think of this post but I did click
on the video. I guess at first the post was a little misleading
to me but no foul. Probably would have preferred a discussion
on a EDC that costs less than 50 dollars that has served
you well. Maybe I will start one tomorrow.

If one looks up in the upper right hand corner of each post, there is an exclamation mark in a box that when clicked will offer a drop down box of options. One of the options for "Report this post" is "The reported message has the only purpose to advertise for a website or other product", which the OP probably would fall under. It would seem to me that Bryan does not want this type of thing on AAPK.

Believe me, I RESPECT everyone’s opinion, so all I can do is offer my worthless opinion - NOT intended to be argumentative (I left another non- knife related discussion group for that very reason). But to the point - there are posters on AAPK who have links to a YouTube channel or a knife store In their signature line. Is there really any difference in what Bladesman is doing? After all, we can respond to his questions without watching the videos.

Deception, click bait, scam, I think they all fall in same category…I’ve been scammed only one time on this Forum, of. $32 knife, I’ll not mention any names but I did have his home address and it cost me $12.95 but he now is a proud subscriber to XY Magazine that caters to th LGBT community, every month I get a email says after a phone call to our PR department it shows you want to cancel your monthly in home delivery. I emailed them back and said someone most be trying to interrupt my services and I assure you I want my complete subscription that is paid for. After 3 months I get a email from scammer asking to please stop subscription, his mom is not happy. I said OK, got straight on email and wouldn’t you know it they were offering a extra year for $8.99. So he gets another year when this one is done.

A knife, watch, key organizer, flashlight, wallet and multi-tool for under $50? I wouldn't even try. Too many bad compromises would need to be made to obtain all of that gear while sneaking under the price point.

He doesn’t participate in the community at all. Do a search of his posts. Every single one is just “Look at my video”. Which was bad enough.tvic wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 3:19 pm Believe me, I RESPECT everyone’s opinion, so all I can do is offer my worthless opinion - NOT intended to be argumentative (I left another non- knife related discussion group for that very reason). This thread is deliberately miss leading. As if he was asking for advice because he was poor. I wasn’t going to let one of our good members give him a knife. But in all fairness the OP wasn’t soliciting donations either.
The moderators said he didn’t violate rules. So no harm no foul.
FWIW He was kicked off another knife forum because he did violate their rules.

I would go for a opinel or Higonokami, Douk-Douk are worth a look as well, but they do lots of different higonokami at different prices, lowest in the uk is £11.99 I have a few, the brass one with white paper blade is my favourite
Douk-Douk's are nice as well, I carry the small version quite a lot

I already posted my opinion of the OP, so this post is just to clarify my understanding about links in the member's signature line. I don’t believe such links are allowed except in the case of silver or gold premium membership levels.edge213 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 3:29 pmThis is kinda what I was thinking.tvic wrote: ↑Sun Jul 10, 2022 3:19 pm Believe me, I RESPECT everyone’s opinion, so all I can do is offer my worthless opinion - NOT intended to be argumentative (I left another non- knife related discussion group for that very reason). If you click the “Support AAPK” box on the upper right of this page it will open a link explaining the benefits accorded to the membership levels. On descriptions of silver and gold levels it says “Links to non-AAPK sites allowed in signatures”. It does not state that on bronze level, therefore I assume since it’s not allowed to bronze members, it’s also not allowed to those who’ve not purchased a membership of any kind. In summary, no silver or gold membership, no signature line links.

I have been looking at these for a while now but don't know if i like the metal covers. But you obviously like them, it is good to see someone who actually has some giving their opinion. I almost never click on links like the OP's. My opinion is that the OP may be a bit annoying with his clickbait posts, but since he is not trying to scam anyone out of money I would just ignore it.
