A quick hello

Post by Kiferbros »

Hello All, new to the forum here and loving what we have seen so far. Myself and my brother have been into collecting pocket knives and razors for several years. We prefer items from case, kane, platts, crandall, schatt & morgan, beaver falls, smethport and cattaraugus cutlery to name a few. we are not experts by any streatch of the word but we do know a little and always looking to expand our knowledge and collection. so if you come across something you think we may be interested in drop us a line.

HI!

Oh My we need to talk. I am crazy about a number of those companies. I must learn more about what you have from Kane, Platt's and Beaver Falls at the least. Would love to see what you have and what you know. ::tu::

Hello pa knives

Post by Kiferbros »

I believe we have a few commonalities in the makers we collect and have an interest in. At this time we do not sell or trade(rarely trade) we only collect, but are gaining knowledge every day and would like to learn more and share what we know as well. I will try to get some pics of some of our more interesting pieces to post. We have a good assortment of straight razors, pocket knives and cutlery boxes in our collection. We haven’t done too bad for being on a shoestring budget, just have to be picky on what, where and how much.

Hi kiferbros welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are like most on this site (when you named the knives you liked, you recited a list as long as your leg. LOL)

OH my, that Smethport Cutlery is a gem. I have been looking for one of those for years!!!! If you could, I would be thrilled to have a nice photo of that for a future book that I am working on. If you ever find another example please buy it and pass it on to me. I am from that area and would treasure such a find. NICE photo's, keepem coming.
