I didn’t but in Switzerland I did have a SAK as everyone else in the country….if you were on a train with a loose thread on your shirt 52 people would ask to use their scissors on their knife to cut it off. We go to Paris next and they are funny about caring there too.

I decided a beautiful knife was needed on what promises to be an ugly day. So I went with the toasted gray bone 6207 I purchased from QTCut5 last year. It will probably see nothing more strenuous than the ol' CE and CF, but a Victorinox Bantam is on hand for any "heavy work."

Schrade knives today.

I should know this, but what pattern is the slender Stockman? It reminds me a lot of a 61OT.

Dan, the slender stockman is the 825 and the smaller one the 855 model. Here are pictures of the 61OT to compare, which I believe you to be correct, the look about the same size and configuration. (Of course, please remember I am not an expert on Stockman patterns, Schrades, nor much else... except for losing money in the Stock Market That I have a real talent for. )

Trevi fountain? I hope you threw a coin in the fountain and NOT a GEC or Case XX (or any other pocket knife). I know them there foreign customs can be 'purdy darn confusing in them there 'Ol foreign type countries with of bunch of them 'Ol foreigner types running around everywhere. I know you is supposed to throw something in the fountain. I is 'purdy sure it is coin. And 100% sure is NOT a pocket knife.

Yes if you throw a coin in it’s supposed to mean you will return to Rome… but I was tempted to throw in a few vendors that bugged the sh#$ out of me, and you say anything to them they say “oh aggressive American” . But after you say something to just one of them, they all stay away. And that’s What I wanted in the first place.
