Looks great!

I have a Colonial from the '20s I bought for next to nothing as its scales were removed (likely cell) and the fish scaler backspring had snapped. Plan on making it just a single-blade Coke Bottle if I decide to cheap out and not have a new spring made for the fish scaler (which really isn't necessary, but if I'm doing a semi-restoration, I want it to still be there.

Great carries everyone. My favorite aspect of this thread is the diversity of the knives carried. Great pictures as well.

CASE XX 10 DOT 5375 Jumbo Stockman
SIG SAUER P220 5" 10MM

Have a great weekend.

Thanks a bunch Waukonda. Appreciate it. Once again mother nature dictates the best photos. It's been unusually wet spring and start to summer. Great for moss around here. Guess not good for the farmers, but the whole west is drying out and burning up in drought. Feel blessed we don't have that problem. Haven't watered the garder or the grass this year, not once. That is unusual big time.

I've used a variant marketed as garage door lubricant (but still silicone-based) with pretty good results. As long as the knife is clean and dry first, and the spray is used sparingly and allowed to dry, it should work well, and not attract pocket crud and dirt as badly.

Thanks Garry! ::handshake:: Appreciate your comment. ::nod:: ::tu::

I know it would be better for this thread if I changed my EDC's & posted pictures of them every day. After all, this is my most visited thread. I really enjoy seeing everyone's carries. But for some reason I just enjoy carrying mine a bit longer. Anywhere from a few days to as long as a few weeks. ::paranoid:: I try to change em more often when I have vacation time but in a normal work week I just can't find the time before work & I'm too lazy to do it after work. So for me, an EDC switch has become a weekend thing. Usually I do it on a Sunday morning while everyone else is still sleeping. I enjoy pulling out my two sewing machine drawers of EDC's, placing them on the kitchen table, then I "Coon-Finger" & "Chicken-Eye" through my knives with great pleasure. ::nod:: At this time I get so involved with my knives that I can forget everything else. Bills, problems, work & even the time. Almost a religious experience to me. A Sunday morning "Hobby Highlight". And if the weather is nice, I then sometimes take my selected carries outside & take some outside pictures of them. Which I intend to do right after this post that turned out to be waaaay too long. ::nod::
