Anyone seen this knife before

Post by petekuhn »

Looks like a New York knife co or at least made by them for some one. No name just a few numbers on the back like 186 or 786 . Never seen the bottom bolster like this before, Well getting old and forget even if I have. Got in a bag of knives I bought yesterday. Picture of other knives just cause you all like knives.

If I came up with a bag of knives like those, I'd have thought I had died and gone to heaven!
What a nice bunch of interesting knives. ::nod::

It is a 186 model and a nice one at that! Very hard to find NYK folding hunter.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Pete for some reason they didn't tang stamp that model, just put the Hammer Brand etch on the blade below the long pull. Looks like it might still be there if I'm seeing it correctly. Great score, that wasn't a bag, it was a treasure chest! ::tu::

That is a most excellent pick-up. I would have bought the bag just for the marlinspike knife!

Nice knives and nice lot of knives! ::tu:: ::tu::

Pete, sorry, I've got to ask you this - were all of the pictured knives in that "bag" of knives that you scored?
